Yeah if it goes back with the Spurs up 3-2 I definitely think that favors the Spurs. I'm not saying it'd be impossible, but I'd rather be the Spurs in that scenario.

ok, i am a dolt, i read that as if they dont win games 4 and 5 meaning they cant lose both or else it will be tough to come back. that would have them losing the series 4-1.

I kept wanting him to drive to the rim and create something since it was clear his jumper wasn't falling. He looked out of place last night. Not what you want from your best player. I'm sure they will make some adjustments and play much better in Game 4 but he needs to be at his best to beat the Spurs when they are operating like this.

Bosh looked completely out of it on several defensive possessions, shrinking away from the paint instead of contesting shots or grabbing boards.

Magic said it best. On the road, in the finals, you have to take it upon yourself to be aggressive. I'm not in the camp that he has to score 45, but he has to be aggressive even when he's creating, i didn't see any of that last night. It's like he was waiting for the Dwayne Wade game or the Chris Bosh game, but he should know better that that's not going to happen, especially on the road.

Aside from that, the bigger issue i saw was Miami's defense. They have gotten by with athleticism and effort coupled with gambling, but that's not going to work against San Antonio's offense who have 5 guys that will touch the ball on every possession and they're willing to pass up a good shot for an even better shot. The Spurs offense controlled the game last night. It got Miami flustered and they never recovered.

Maybe it's that old elbow problem. Did he shoot any free throws left-handed last night?

The Heat need to win game 4. As long as they do that, they have a shot...

Please let there not be another blow out like Game 3 again in the series. That sucked.

Agreed. It's all about how the Heat don't want it and aren't playing like themselves. It's like the Spurs have done nothing to earn their two wins. Let's not give Kawhi Leonard any credit for the amazing D he has been playing either.

It is a distinct possibility. I think the Spurs are messing with his head too. I expect a big game from him tonight, but they'll need to play much better defense to win.

I mean Leonard's been executing it so he deserves credit, but I think Pop should get the majority of the credit for the game plan: give James and Wade a cushion, let them shoot all the J's they (don't) want to shoot, clog the lane, and don't let them get in the paint. I don't think Leonard has done anything amazing on defense. His offense rebounding on the other hand has been insane.

The Heat dominated Game 2 from the tip just like the Spurs did Game 3 even if the score at the half didn't adequately express that.

That's what I was going for. I feel like I am watching Spurs basketball moreso than Heat basketball if that makes sense. The score doesn't necessarily reflect it all the time.

Game 1 Miami got to the basket with decent frequency. It probably slightly favored the Spurs style, but Miami was a lot closer to playing their style of ball than they were throughout the previous two series. Game 2 Miami forced a ton of turnovers and were out in transition running all night. There's no way you can watch the first half of Game 2 and feel like the Spurs controlled that game. Even if the Spurs made Miami take jumpers the Heat didn't let the Spurs get shots off. Miami's defense controlled game 2 like the Spurs defense controlled game 3.

This is mostly true. But after these playoffs I'm not even sure what Heat basketball is supposed to look like anymore.
