I'm not sure I'll ever get tired of having this show on as I'm going to sleep.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The hair dye joke had a long set up but the payoff was hilarious

I wonder how it much Gimme Shelter and Golddigger cost them?
Charlie & Dee’s story was pretty good too.

I live for Sunny arguments like McNabb vs. Rocky. Lethal Weapon 7 was great.

I watched the first 10 minutes or so of the first episode and I think I'll give this season a pass.
They keep trying to do topical episodes, but they're always so dated by the time they air and the social commentary is very on the nose.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone they ain't.
Also, what the hell is happening to Dee's face? It's very distracting.

Two episodes again tonight? And back to back again next? In December? I know broadcast air date doesn’t mean nearly as much as it once did but it feels like FXX is burning then off.
I think they have another season already renewed though.

tragabigzanda wrote:season premier not very funny. I thought the episode would be more of a wacko look at how they spent their time in quarantine, which it only partially ways; the connection to all the election stuff just wasn't that funny, and by the end of the ep you could see all the jokes coming a mile away.
Does it improve after the first episode?

The second episode was great. Last nights were ok, but I was half asleep watching them so probably not the best choice.

Last two episodes tonight; only an eight episode season.
Man, that was, um, quick.

They're basically just making new episodes so that they can have something to talk about when they go on Colbert or Fallon. "Yeah we're so cool we're still making that same show 30 years later"

The first half of the season were typical late era episodes.l, for better or worse.
But the Irish episodes were just weird and did not feel a part of the It’s Always Sunny universe at all. I’m sure the finale was allegorical, like the Waiting for Gadot finale episode a few seasons back, but I didn’t pick up on what they were alluding to but dragging a weight up a mountain while characters discuss their essence and then abandoning one by one sounds mythological.
