In a second move, the Jays have informed league commissioner Lament that Jimmy Key, not Dave Stieb, is scheduled to pitch in game two, but that David Wells will be inserted into that spot instead.
More details to follow.
Noted and noted. I've changed the pitching matchups post. Just let me know what your new look lineup is for the games.

And the best part is when he's out of the lineup we have the .400 hitting Jimmie Foxx in his place.

Numbers, I think we should assess our pitching rotation after 12 games, and again for the final push after 18 games.

Oh definitely.
If we're still hanging around .500 we might want to just go with our 4 best pitchers for the rest of the season.

Also, at what point do we take out Tris Speaker, move Yaz to the outfield, and put Foxx at first?

I'd like to do some lineup experimenting with the two lefty matchups tomorrow.
Unless numbers vetoes this, let's run this lineup for game 1:
Pedroia
Boggs
Ramirez
Foxx
Williams
Nomar
Fisk
Speaker
And this one for game 2:
Pedroia
Boggs
Ramirez
Yaz (centerfield)
Foxx
Williams
Nomar
Fisk
It gets that shitty OBP of speaker's out of the leadoff spot and it'll give us a chance to see if Yaz can hit a lefty as well as he's hit righties.

Definitely. Varitek is pacing around the dugout, waiting for us to give him a shit over Fisk.

Papelbon was awful in his first appearance in game 2, but hasn't let up a run since.

Man, if I can't fall asleep soon I'm gonna start running tomorrow's (well, now today's) sims and then I'll just post them when I get up later.
Actually, that's not a bad idea. I got shit I need to do in the afternoon anyways...
