Huh, I didn't notice.
In digging around, he seems like a wildly divisive figure to the point where Pitchfork deleted all of his archived pieces at one stage.
He's nuked his social media on several occasions but a bunch of his video chats/essays are archived on a YouTube channel by someone who may actually hate him, it's not entirely clear: https://www.youtube.com/@shaIIowrewards
I don't agree with all of his views on the Cure - he doesn't rate The Top, so we're clearly not hearing the band the same way - but I do think he neatly identifies some of the band's key weaknesses in the latter part of their career and I enjoy his very evident passion and knowledge.
