To which part, Jordan?

I remember when Limbs came out thinking that the cool reception it was receiving was due to the fact that it sounded like it was being released by a regular band, in spite of all the hype and speculation that surrounds new Radiohead, especially in the wake of their "surprise" release strategies. I liked the fact that it felt fairly laidback.

To everything trag said. I disagree with your feelings about the albums, but it's nothing ugh-worthy.

This album is goddamn beautiful

Identikit - Numbers - Present Tense is quickly becoming one of my favorite 3-song runs in their entire catalog

Love the Kid A (the song) style "bleeps & boops" as it were in Tinker Tailor

To go back & weigh in on B-Sides, my favorites are:

Faithless the Wonder Boy
Killer Cars
Maquiladora
Molassess
Palo Alto
Meeting in the Aisles
Climbing up the Walls Remixes (Zero 7 & Fila Brazila)
Amazing Sounds of Orgy
I am a Wicked Child
Gagging Order
Skttrbrain (Four Tet Remix)

Obviously their best ever non-album track is Talk Show Host

The Bends & OK Computer basically have full companion albums that hold up on their own with all the B-Sides. Not so much with Amnesiac & HTTF, but those make nice EPs. I think they've done a pretty expert job at choosing the which songs were right for the records & which belonged as B-Sides. The only real exceptions I can think are Killer Cars & Palo Alto, those could have worked on The Bends & OK Computer respectively.

It's taking a while for me to warm to this one, but that's not unusual for this band.

The Numbers is exquisite, though. Wow, what a gorgeous tune, definitely a keeper.

Yes I forgot about that. Definitely would've liked Supercollider, Butcher, Staircase & Daily Mail all to be on there. Since it didn't happen, allow me to suggest this little EP:

Although it appears the Spectre is going to be one of the 2 bonus tracks with the Special Edition

I like a lot of Radiohead's B-sides, but "Maquiladora" and "Worrywort" are probably my two favorites.

I am not a huge "Bends" fan - I like a lot of those B-sides better than the album cuts.

The musical progression from Pablo Honey to Kid A in just seven years has got to be one of the most drastic in musical history, right?

The interesting thing about the new album is that although individual songs may not make my "best of radiohead" list, I adore the album. I put it on and each song blends into the next to form an ambient 50 minute session that I have not yet come close to wearing out. This opinion may make more sense in the context that I think "side b" of KOL is absolutely amazing stuff. Interestingly, no "Kid A" song makes my top 10 list, but that is one of my favorite albums by anyone.

And this is one of the big reasons why they're the best ever. IMO.

I forgot about the In Rainbows disc 2 also, so I'd have to put Up on the Ladder & 4 Minute Warning on my non-album favorites list.

This is an interesting take. I like that Radiohead still believes in albums or EPs in the greater sense of creating a complete work, rather than throwing 10 songs together with a few radio hits.

oh god yes please.

I'm really unfamiliar with Radiohead bsides except for "8 Outtakes from Amnesiac", the TKOL stuff and In Rainbows CD 2 if that one counts.

This is great news. I'm a fanatic & a completist about this band, but I know that I'm missing some things along the way. If you don't want to reveal this yet I understand, but are you including all of the early acoustic performances Thom did of songs like Airbag, Subterranean, Motion PIcture Soundtrack, etc, etc?
