Could a band that calls its record Lightning Bolt and releases a graphic of a place setting with the knife on the wrong side of the spoon deliver a fantastic album?

Pearl Jam is lazy.
Backspacer is probably their worst.
Lost Dogs is good.
So we'll give them four out of ten (because of Ten, which is really on the fence). That's 40%. Yeah, this thing will be called Lighnig Bolt.

The only title I really love is vitalogy, it looks like the album sounds.

I disagree with No Code based on how it relates to the packaging and tone of the record.

I agree with most of what you say here, but disagree that the archaic nature of 'Vitalogy' is a problem. The whole concept of Vitalogy (and it is a concept album), around that medical book, is probably the most imaginative thing they've done imo. If it's a little obscure and requires proper listening, all the better.

Totally agree. Granted, I was a teenager when Vitalogy came out, and a lot more gosh-wow about unusual CD presentations, but I found myself lost in the Vitalogy "experience" more so than any of their other albums, even if the music itself didn't end up being my favorite.

This should work in my favor this time. I start my commute home today at 3 and won't arrive until 3:45 (EST) and might miss some of the lag that will hit!

Here is the translation from the german site that reported it (sorry, do not know which site it was) -
