the difference is in trumps circle if you speak out against him you are instantly fired and personally attacked on twitter. odds are you will find another job but in order to get another job you can spill your guts about what a shitty human trump is and all the lies he had people make in his good name

with the women in the harvey case, they were completely emotionally abused as well as physically. sadly in this day and age women speak out about violence against them more than half the population responds with, well what was she wearing? look at how her make up was, oh she wanted it etc

then top that off with someone actually violating you in the most personal way imaginable. while i am sure there is statistical evidence to back this i have none to cite. a lot of people when faced with such a scenario tend to bury the events so deeply its like they never happened or they are so scared of it happening again because the person is famous and they are woman that it will happen again only 10 fold worse.

it takes a very special mindset to stand up to such behavior and only then once someone does this on a grand stage do others then feel the empowerment to join in. i dont think the average male can fully comprehend the emotional damage sexual abuse can infect a woman with (and i am sure men who are raped feel the same way)
