the last time I saw them live was 2006, I think? so yeah, I found a few songs I liked in the Backspacer / Lightning Bolt era, but I was definitely prioritising other bands by then; I don't have a lot of money so l have to prioritise one or two gigs a year

it's not easy, luckily I go through phases of fixating on just one or two bands; last year they were The 1975 and Sleep Token, so when they played near me I snapped em up; I'm also disabled so travelling and accommodation is difficult and expensive, that's probably a factor as well!

The clip w/just the band - the first few parts of the guitar remind me of Audioslave. My oldest kid (16) said the same thing today while we were listening. The part where it starts to ascend and then descend (repeat) - that part reminds me of a Stone riff.

Beer opened. Usually don't drink this early in the week but, we're having our first little human any day now so whatever. Not like im gonna sleep for the next 5 years anyway.

Here's to the start of this record rolling out over the next couple months. May we all have a blast building it up and tearing it down along the way!!

When 14 year old me fell in love with this band i could have never imagined being 46, struggling to stay up till midnight just to listen to the new single from the band i still love. We're really lucky to still have them.

Youtube in HD will probably have the best sound quality if you can push it through good speakers

Dude congrats! I had a newborn when Lightning Bolt came out so the dad rock vibe was perfect lol
