if this is somehow actually tom petty meets soundgarden i'll be impressed.
the last time I saw them live was 2006, I think? so yeah, I found a few songs I liked in the Backspacer / Lightning Bolt era, but I was definitely prioritising other bands by then; I don't have a lot of money so l have to prioritise one or two gigs a yearHiggs wrote:Kinda weird maybe? I dunno. Are you saying you aren't interested in seeing PJ live anymore?Ms Harmless wrote:I don't wanna go to a show where they play 5 songs I don't like; is that weird? maybe it's weird; I've only seen bands live that I thought had a near perfect catalogue (it used to be PJ)LetMeSleep wrote:They rarely play more than 5 new songs per show. And having been 10 years since their last tour here it's likely to be 5-6 between Gigaton and Dark Matter.Ms Harmless wrote:I don't understand wanting to see a band live if you don't like half the songs they'll play
did they say that about this particular song?evenslow wrote:if this is somehow actually tom petty meets soundgarden i'll be impressed.
Fair enough. You seem to love the music you love very much, must make choosing the shows that much harder.Ms Harmless wrote:the last time I saw them live was 2006, I think? so yeah, I found a few songs I liked in the Backspacer / Lightning Bolt era, but I was definitely prioritising other bands by then; I don't have a lot of money so l have to prioritise one or two gigs a yearHiggs wrote:Kinda weird maybe? I don't know. That's just the most confounding description I've ever heard in my life about maybe anything.Ms Harmless wrote:did they say that about this particular song?evenslow wrote:if this is somehow actually tom petty meets soundgarden i'll be impressed.
it's not easy, luckily I go through phases of fixating on just one or two bands; last year they were The 1975 and Sleep Token, so when they played near me I snapped em up; I'm also disabled so travelling and accommodation is difficult and expensive, that's probably a factor as well!Higgs wrote:Fair enough. Youtube in HD will probably have the best sound quality if you can push it through good speakersdimejinky99 wrote:Hang on. Where do I even listen to this? On their website? YouTube?
