Because sports are competitive and you would expect the best players in the game to be competitive too? I wonder if there is wording in his contract about lopping his dick off and handing it over to steph to chew on in between free throws?

And the point of competition is winning. Putting yourself in the best position to do that at the expense of individual glory is generally the type thing that's applauded, not derided.

Unless LeBron does it.

But for somebody who claims he wants to be the best ever I don't think this is the way to do that. And I think next season is a lot less interesting now. And he's not going to get killed to anywhere near the level LeBron did (which is one of those odd things that is good because the LeBron hate was so absurd so it's good people are learning, but selfishly it doesn't feel fair especially when this is much more a frontrunning play than LeBron's was).

Idk if that makes me butthurt or whatever, but I'm disappointed. I would have happily rooted for him to win in OKC but he joined a team I don't like so I'll root against him.

i agree with all this; it's the same set of feelings a lot of us felt when lebron took his talents to south beach. i think this feels worse because miami wasn't coming off a record breaking season, so this seems like an even "easier" path that KD is taking. it feels even more like a shortcut to glory.

so this sets up the same redemption path for KD that lebron is on. KD will win some rings, then have the same epiphany that he wants to "do it himself" back in OKC or DC or something in a few years.

I see your logic but I'm thinking Bogut will come back even more diminished. I just don't want other teams to help the Warriors round this thing out so easily although Jerry West and the staff there will probably make it happen.

Unless they put in the CBA that if you draft a player you keep them for life or other teams can only offer 50% of what the team with the players rights can offer I don't see what else they can do. If he chose the Bulls you'd be fine with it.
