I wonder what the future of Chinese buffets and mongolian grills will be. I drove by a Hu Hot the other day and got some pangs.

Any kind of buffet is gross. Why are you being racist? Do you call it China Virus like Trump?
I’ll make an exception for Vegas buffets.

Are things cautiously normal where you're at? Or what's the general mood?
The cases in the county I'm at in Texas are hovering around 1,000 reported cases a day.
There are maybe just slightly fewer cars on the road than pre-covid but I've been staying home mostly so it's hard to gauge.
What I've experienced of rush hour, it's stop and go again. Granted driving is a necessity here so if people are back to work around town then there has to be traffic.
I haven't been inside a restaurant(for pickup) in a couple of weeks but the last restaurant I was in was a local Tex-Mex place and was maybe 10% full with diners late in the evening.
Whataburger(who's dining room is closed) and especially Braum's for whatever reason(I guess they just really nailed the location) are doing great drive-thru business.
There has been youth soccer going in in the park nearby with parents spread out in camping chairs.
The school year starts in mid-August and Kindergarten through 12th grade students won't be meeting in person until after mid-September at the earliest and it's likely to get pushed back further.

I ate at the MGM buffet the last time I was in Vegas. It was a C+ at best. Everything sort of tasted the same.

In the part of Australia I'm in, everything feels essentially pretty back to normal aside from the restrictions regarding traveling in/out of the state.
I've been working back in the office full-time for a few months, restaurants and everything else seem to be now operating as usual.
It's rare to see anyone wearing a mask in public here. I haven't worn one during this whole thing, except for on the way home after having a precautionary COVID test a few months back. It hasn't felt necessary otherwise.

Same here, all pretty normal. We seem to have a few cases each day, but all are incoming travellers it seems, straight to quarantine. I'm not gonna lie though - bit wary of the AFL football "Hub" we have in WA at present. The local footy derby had 30,000 people in the stands ffs. I'm interested if anything comes back from that iN tWo wEeKs (did I do that right?).
But whatever happens, I won't be here for it. Heading off tomorrow for a 2,500km drive (1,500 miles). Seriously looking forward to being in the middle of nowhere, out of phone range and nothing to do but listen to tunes. I need the head space badly.
(Sorry for interrupting your thread with non-US talk Verb)

Except for the lack of tourists, everything is back to normal here

Things are pretty tense in NSW. Similar feeling to March before our first lockdowns. Our numbers are pretty low but there’s a bit of spread so the potential to explode over the coming weeks is there.
I just left work early with a sore throat. Getting a test tomorrow.
