I like to go to these and see their expressions when I tell them I have thousands of posts on RM.

Often, when in line or at a meet-up, people ask what your username is. I always tell them that i do most of my posting on RM. Recently, when I said that I post on RM, the reaction was, "people there don't even seem to like PJ." Several years ago, when I said that I post on RM, one person stopped talking to me altogether.

this kinda thing happened to me back at the first Wrigley show. Since then it's been better.

One of the worst situations to be caught in is a discussion with somebody who truly believes they love the band more than you

I feel like these events would be a real life version of a THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO thread on the pit.

i wish we had insight into the PJ investments portfolio. Remember years ago when they were considering a drop box investment so they could rub shoulders with Condoleeza Rice? Given how much dough the fans spend supporting them an annual shareholder meeting-type event should be in order.

The penalty should be that the band has to do an AMA on RM w/ longtime RM members only. I'll contact Nicky and we'll get this going.

I generally have not enjoyed conversations I’ve had with people who are big PJ fans, unless they are:
A) Friends in real life
B) RMers

Can we check both those boxes for each other now?

Most of my conversations about PJ IRL are trying to convince people they don’t (didn’t) suck. To this day all people seem to know is Ten and Vs. but know very little of the Vitalogy through Riot Act run. When I play them anti Ten songs, like Who You Are, Tremor Christ, BOJ, Of The Girl, All Night, Insignificance, I Got Shit, etc...they generally seem to be pleasantly surprised.

I guess we’ll get a new album in the next year?

I think they’ve transformed into their “nostalgia act” era now.
