I like the Lightning Bolt version on this.

Your opinion of Getaway might be why we aren't seeing it live very often. Might be a work in progress live-wise. I think they will get there though.

edit: I feel like Ed isn't necessarily the problem here...not enough ooooomph in the guitars

Hmmm...That's funny, I love how music can mean something different to everyone. I've always seen Yellow Moon as something completely different. I see a person who has come to the end of their rope but has made peace with it and decided to take their own life rather than have to continue to watch the world fall apart never knowing when the end will come. They decide to go out their own way on their own terms... "round, we go...where we stop yeah no one knows...so tonight, the moon I go." Meaning life just goes on and on and nothings getting better so tonight I'm going to end it myself and that's okay...I'm okay with it...

The talk of the echoing of the firing of the bullet...one life and one grave joining the parade....meaning his own life... I could be wrong, but again, that's what I love about music. We each make it our own. :)

I never noticed that guitar part that Mike plays in the pre-chorus. Does he do that on the album? It sounded very different.

No, he doesn't. I noticed that too. I kinda like it. But, yeah, I also agree with sward - just not enough oomph in the guitars on this one.

Oh wow, that is interesting cause I don't see that at all. Music can be funny like that, huh?

How do you view the gun / death references?

Yeah, I know... I totally picture a guy sitting on a hill in the middle of nowhere at night watching the moon rise....gun in hand and he's just content...at peace after coming to terms with his decision to "go" wanting to see the moon big and overhead one more time....and then "bang!".

I still havent read most of the lyrics in depth, but Yellow Moon´s music is beautiful.

That would be....kinda weird. What song? Do Dave and ed hang out/ know each other enough for Dave to bother writing a song about him?

Think it's in Ill stick around, on the first Foos record.

I might be wrong. But he does have a lyric about rehearsed insanity.

That stuff was all about Courtney Love.

"How could it be I'm the only one who sees your rehearsed insanity". Yeah, it's from "I'll Stick Around". I think it's supposed to be about Courtney Love.

I thought I knew all it took to bother you
Every word I said was true that you'll see

How could it be I'm the only one who sees your rehearsed insanity

I still refuse all the methods you've abused
It's all right if you're confused let me be

I've been around all the pawns
You've gagged and bound
They'll come back and knock you down and I'll be free

That makes sense.
A pals band just came off tour supporting her.

She's not as green as she is cabbage looking. Calculating in the extreme apparently.
