Finished Mare. Incredibly satisfying. What a roller coaster the last episode was. The show contained two of my favorite girl names, Moira and Siobhan, and I enjoyed both characters. If it had had a Maeve in it, that would’ve been the trifecta. Really don’t get all the Siobhan hate. While I’d like to see a second season, I don’t know what they’d to to bring it all together. Everything pretty much got wrapped up.

I had zero knowledge about him or even the world of competitive surfing before watching this. It's been such a wild ride. And the way the doc is put together is fantastic.

Also, I need to go to Nazare.

wife and i started White Lotus the other night. only halfway through episode two, but enjoying it so far.
Spoiler: show
i laughed so hard in episode one when shane is so laser-focused on getting the suite he and his new bride deserve that he suggests calling his mom to settle the matter, and Armond is like, what do you think she'll say?

It's a really great show. I think the latest episode, the penultimate of the season, was the weakest, yet. But even at that, it was still really strong. It was a B+ where the rest of be A or A+.

Easily one of the best shows of the year, I think. Probably my personal favorite, so far.

I do think the plot development between the BIPOC college girl and the Hawaiian dude jumped from 1st gear to 5th last episode, and that felt a little wonky.
Part of that is because it was finally featured. Structurally, their relationship has been a whisper in the background and then it just became the main driving thing. I can forgive it, but ultimately, I agree. Certainly not a deal-breaker, but noticeable, and one of the things that made the last episode less than the previous episodes.
