Thank you. Just need to get the distance with speed better aligned to keep making progress and hit my goal.
How many times do I have to tell you? Throw speed out the window. Speed will come, or not. Work on distance/endurance and you'll learn to run for life.
Well that’s mainly for 5k races sake. I am proud of myself for not only doing 5 miles Saturday tho

Did one years ago - ever since then I've wanted to do another to beat my time, but then I think about the effort involved and remember I'm too lazy

It's a half marathon in early March. Tentative plans to do a full in late 2022 or early 2023. The one in my city is always in January so that would make most sense, but I don't see any reason why I wouldn't be fit enough to train for and complete one before that, and it would be a fun excuse to travel.

Again - too lazy for that, and too slow

Been slacking for the last few weeks. Mostly because of work schedule vs weather. But also because of my Mexico trip and the subsequent quarantine.

But I'm starting to get back into it. Took Monday off because of post-Chiefs game hangover. Did 4.15 yesterday and today. So back to back days which I don't always love. But feeling strong. It was fucking COOOOOOLD out today. Yesterday it was 41 (felt like 37) today was 21 (felt like 11).

I also lifted weights for 35 mins after my run today. I never do that so we'll see how I feel tomorrow. Luckily, I'm taking tomorrow totally off. I'll lift again Friday and run again Saturday (weather/snow depending).

Yeah the weather is a bummer. It was 37 and sunny when I went out for lunch today and it felt cold af. Last week I went a little later in the day when it was high 30’s and cloudy and I swear it was warmer then.

Glad to hear you’re getting back tho

We are trying! I have much more time to go Saturday than Sunday, but it’s a high of 37 vs. 52. Not sure what I’m going to do.

Alternately, don't be such a p*ssy and buy warmer clothes. 37 is beautiful weather.

You only have to be uncomfortable for the first mile. Your body will catch up to the run afterwards if you're layered correctly. I think. I'm a Texan, so cold only factors into the equation a few weeks out of the year.

It’s so back and forth here. It’s mainly my face that really bothers me if there’s a cold wind or breeze. I’m shivering just thinking about it.
