The internet is 20 years old in a broad sense but Wiki leaks cyber attacks on governments Sony etc are all false flag staged by government to legislate and restrict internet freedom and access to information to take that frontier and control it.

Are you talking about the broad cyber going on right now? I read that it's because of the Internet of Things and lack of security in general. Not stuff like Sony installing rootkits and intentional backdoors, no.

No you dont
Absolutely I do, insofar as I'll be voting for him (but it's not like I'm donating to his campaign or anything). Here's what's looking for MT's three electoral votes: http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/201 ... t/montana/

I can safely support a third-party candidate that has a great shot of getting his 5%, which, as Argo (I think?) clarified earlier, will qualify the Libs for public funding ever forward, but won't directly get them into the debates (though presumably they could get there by polling higher numbers once they have tax dollars at their disposal).

I wouldn't vote this way if I lived in a swing state. But here in MT, it's not about "sticking it to the system" -- it's about increasing the dialogue going forward.
Respect. I can groove on that jam.
I do feel better about not supporting the two party system.

Does anyone really think we could ever become a Libertarian system? We're way too far down the road we're on for such a dramatic shift. I think Democratic Socialism is way more likely than a move towards libertarianism.

I don't know what the internet of things is but have heard about it. I'm safe in my Star Wars bubble but if any plot details leak there first, should I be on it?

Not at all, I just prefer viewpoints that are more realistic. :D

I generally fall under the fiscally conservative, socially liberal umbrella, so that eliminates the two parties currently. But things are always changing. My hope is that the republicans move toward a libertarian platform, and voting that way may force them to, but they will probably always be saddled with religious conservative morons. The democrats will probably stay pretty centrist from an economic standpoint, but hopefully won't get bogged down in dogmatic SJW nonsense (which to my mind is often about as socially conservative and anti-liberal as it gets.)

The problem with labeling yourself is that brainless assholes immediately assume you are the worst possible manifestation of that label. So if you are libertarian, you are for abolishing public schools and letting people die in the streets, or if you are a communist, you love Stalin and would let people die in the streets, and so on. Basically no matter what you believe, you are for people dying in the streets.

Poll question.

In 4 years. Imagine it was Bruce Springsteen vs Oprah running for president.

It would break America. But who would win
