They are a finesse team that got over powered by the Cavs and now went further into the finesse direction. They'll burn through the regular season but once the refs let things get physical in the playoffs they'll struggle again. Plus chances are Durant and Curry will get hurt. I actually feel bad for them they'll get destroyed when the come up short.
They got beat in the Finals because of a legendary performance by Lebron, a Draymond suspension, and Bogut being hurt for the tail end of the series. They just essentially traded Barnes (who no showed several games in the Finals) and Bogut for Durant. The Finals are certainly not guaranteed, but let's not pretend they are pansies who just make a lot of jump shots.
You could list a bunch of reasons why Cleveland didn't win the previous year. I didn't call them pansies. They are a finesse team that makes a lot of jump shots. How else would you describe them?
A team that passes the ball a ton, takes and makes three pointers, and plays great defense. A team that has been in the top three in total defense the past two years is not a finesse team in my eyes.
I guess. That defensive ranking doesn't seem to match what I saw during the playoffs. It lists them as 8th this year when I googled it behind the Clippers. Kevin Durant is the biggest guy on the team now. Maybe Kevin Willis can come out of retirement.
Zaza and David West will be clubbing guys all season. It's not going to be a problem. Plus they will shatter offensive records so it doesn't matter as much.

You guys are probably right. I'm not saying this from a haters perceptive. I just don't see an unbeatable juggernaut.

I do think MD is overrating them defensively. They aren't as good as their ranking the last few seasons.

So the Bulls are really trying to get Wade it looks like. Supposedly they're calling everybody trying to dump salary to clear space. I don't get it.
Honestly, I won't be heartbroken if he leaves. We don't need a Kobe style albatross around our necks, especially seeing as we don't have 1st round picks anyway.

Lots of 30 point blowouts deflated their numbers a bit. Their effort came and go, but they were legit when locked in.

Garpax are so selfish and stupid. They want to make the playoffs. If they can do that they probably keep their jobs and sell seats to idiots. Some fatass in a smedium MJ champion replica is looking at his tier 3 season ticket renewal notice and thinking: DWADE?! ALL IN BABY!!!
They should be able to flip Taj pretty easy. Dunleavey and Calderon they might somehow be able to get rid of in a dump. I'm serious when I say I have no interest in watching a single game next year.

Go Bucks and Wolves, right?

If they give up draft picks to clear cap space I'm going to be livid.

Fuck the Bucks. I do hope the Knicks play well however. Maybe the real reason for the 'plane issues' was Garpax not wanting to run into Jo and Derrick in NYC?

Supposedly Miami is trying to battle the Bulls in this race for Wade by dumping McBob to get cap space. Shockingly no one wants him unless we add an asset to sweeten his stench. We literally have 3 tradable assets: Justise, Richardson, and a 2023 1st round pick. Yes that's right, you have to go 7 years to get to a 1st Miami can trade.
Dark days are ahead.

Does all this Durant nonsense make anyone else appreciate a true great that we are about to lose? A guy that even though tempted never left for an easier path and worked his way through so many ups and downs to earn several titles? I'm not even a big Spurs fan but this whole thing is a testament to how great Tim Duncan really has been for the game. He may have done it quietly most of the time but that guy is a true competitor and puts all these guys to shame.

I think a good goal for this thread would be to overtake MLB, which is at 401 pages currently. I have a solid 10 pages of Bulls hate in me just this summer alone.
We can do this.

On the one hand we dodged a bullet, on the other so much for The Godfather and #heatlifer and Wade County and all that.
This sucks as a fan of Wade and the Heat, but is probably good for us long-term. Hopefully. Who knows.

Supposedly they found a trading partner to dump Calderon. I swear to god if they attached a pick...
