I listened to that last week. Very interesting.
And deeply frightening.
Fuck yes.
Are we actually better off with Trump?
Different type of evil. Trump could potentially see us all nuked, and is certainly helping erode what remains of the moral fiber of our country. Pence would be a more garden variety sort evil, with various acts against women, minorities, and the environment; but he would likely be much more effective than Trump.
So, which would we be better off with?

One thing I wasn’t aware of regarding Pence that I learned in the story was that, as governor of Indiana, he passed legislation requiring full funeral services and burials not only for aborted fetuses, but miscarried fetuses as well.

Seems reasonable if you believe life begins at conception.

That definitely does not sound reasonable in any way

You want a cremation, Burt? I'll throw a match in.

It’s reasonable if you believe the lump of cells is equivalent to the mother they came from. But this claim is basically false:
https://www.snopes.com/pence-law-forcin ... -funerals/
This sounds like an attempt to stop the selling (ie profiting) from abortion.

Nope. It's completely unreasonable and disgusting.

Corker on CNN just now said everything around the word "unfit" without actually using the word itself, wouldn't say he trusts Trump with the nuke codes, and said he wouldn't support him in the election if he had a do-over.

Also said the "debasement of our nation is what he'll be remembered for."

I just watched the interview and holy shit.
Good on him. And to me it just confirms what most Republicans think about him behind closed doors and that they're just a bunch of cowards more willing to keep their party afloat while the country sinks around them. They will pay dearly in 2018.

That's ignoring a decade of democrat election f*ckups at all levels of government. The red team deserves to lose for this, but I'd give 33% at best unless there is an indictment against a Trump or Kushner.

As the election showed, you don't need a popular candidate to win...you just need to demotivate your opposition regarding THEIR candidate. Republicans are champions at this.

I don't think an indictment is necessary. My guess is that between now and election time Trump is so toxic that Republicans will be begging to not be associated with him. 2/3 of the country is already sick of this guy and it's not going to get any better IMO. This translates into more Roy Moores putting up primary campaigns against establishement Republicans, who then go on to lose in the general election because they're too extreme for independents and moderates. Should be a great environment for Democratic gains.
