They did a Thanksgiving themed Treehouse of Horror episode; all three segments were bad to awful.

Wow, an unusually good Simpsons last night. Tod Flanders, with lingering grief over his mother, questioned his faith. The resolution was a little too tidy but it was still the strongest episode in a while (seasons?).

I remember watching the pilot too and how huge, and controversial, it was the first half season.
