It follows Watt's work on [Ed's balls during] 'Earthling,' a solo album from bandleader Eddie Vedder, released in February [during which Watt repeatedly fluffed Vedder].

"We're taking some time off right now. We finished up all the makeup dates that we lost from three years ago; we finished that up a few months back. The plan is that we're gonna do some more recording, and we're gonna try to finish a record here pretty soon. There's songs that are getting close to being done and there's a bunch that aren't. And we're gonna do something here pretty soon."
"I bet it's gonna be 2024 before the record comes out, is my guess. But we're working on it."

At the 50,000 foot level, everyone should be pleased these guys are still making new music. I thought Gigaton was better than LB or BS, so that has me optimistic for the next one.
Still, I am an Earthlings fan and would like to see a follow up to that one, too.

I didn't know "trap" was a sub-genre of music. And I was desperately trying to figure out what the fuck you meant by this. I kept thinking like a "trap game" like in the NFL.
