Red Mosquito (No Code, 1996)

Rearviewmirror (Vs., 1993)
Porch (Ten, 1991)

You Are (Riot Act, 2003)
Swallowed Whole (Lightning Bolt, 2013)
Supersonic (Backspacer, 2009)

Big Wave (Pearl Jam, 2006)
Untitled (Red Dot) (Yield, 1998)

The top three are some of the most durable songs in their catalog--regardless of how many times I've heard them, they never seem any less special. "Rearviewmirror" and "Porch" are great tunes, but middle-of-the-road for me on their respective discs. I'm not super keen on the rest, but the last two are the only ones I have any real distaste for.

Must be the groove in You Are. It's awesome. Drummers drug.

And Big Wave has been a massive grower for me. I love it now.

I don't like everything about "You Are" but it's pretty great. "Big Wave" is awful, and marked the beginning of the one-terrible-song-per-album trend they've currently got going on.

There are more than 1 terrible songs on the last 3 albums. And Big Wave isn't the worst track on ST. It appears simple but it has a bull-ish charm. Sequencing doesn't help the album as the 1-2 of Big Wave and Gone pretty much kills the album for everyone. It'd be rare to find someone who loves that sequence and those 2 tracks.

There are lots of bad songs on the last three albums, but for me, probably only three to five unlistenable ones.

Am I the only one to start a playlist with all of my top tracks in sequence? I'm waiting for these lists to be completed (and I'm waiting to do it with the board) before I listen. It'll be a weird ending though as it may have a few closers.

2.Red Mosquito (No Code, 1996)
3.Of The Girl (Binaural, 2000)
4.Corduroy (Vitalogy, 1994)
5.Porch (Ten, 1991)
6.Swallowed Whole (Lightning Bolt, 2013)

8.Big Wave (Pearl Jam, 2006)
9.Supersonic (Backspacer, 2009)
10.Untitled (Red Dot) (Yield, 1998)

This is actually an All-Star Pearl Jam album if I ever saw one. I forgot how many awesome songs (their best IMO) are slotted at No. 8.

Supersonic is the only song from the last 3 albums I never want to listen to. S/t has a few that are close

Strangely, considering I don't like the song, I'm going to defend it. Supersonic achieves it's goal of a light riff-tastic pop song. Big Wave too achieves the goal they were reaching for. I can't say the same for LTRP (i've only heard it in it's entirety twice). Am I wrong?

Yeah, I'm just bored of defending PJ songs by saying 'It achieves its goal.'

So did Hitler.
