I read Sony sold over 1 million of these things on day one in North America...that's amazing!

Good job Sony.

I wonder how many the Xbox One will push out on day one.

Have you tried any of the fixes posted online?

I too got a PS4. Pretty neat so far. Picked up ACIV, Battlefield 4, and Killzone. The only negative I have so far is that my BF crashed and I lost my single player save game. Other than that the console is super fast and really intuitive. Can't wait for Infamous Second Son.

Me either. Only a couple of hours. Things download so much quicker. I also really like how you can see how rare each trophy is in your profile. Pretty cool.

Did any of you PS4 owners order through Amazon? I'm checking my email frequently to get the shipment notification for my Xbox One which I was guaranteed I'd get this Friday.

Mine came from Amazon. I never got an email confirmation (I never do from Amazon, so I think I have the notifications turned off). If their system says the expected delivery is Friday, I bet you get it Friday. I've ordered from them for years and anytime I've ever had a problem it was related to weather or some other issues with UPS/FedEx.

It's also worth noting that my PS4 didn't show as shipped until late in the day on Thursday.
Now, what would Oscar Winner® Michael Caine do?

You'll get the shipment notification either today or tomorrow. It depends upon how close you are to the nearest distribution center. I've probably ordered around 40-50 "arrive on release day" video game items from Amazon and every single one has arrived on the expected delivery date. Barring any national disasters you will get it on time.

I recall reading in this thread how Battlefield 4 was angering people a lot.

How is it on PS4?

Buggy... I haven't tried it but that was the initial impression I got from the interwebs.

I'm not playing it until a legit patch is out. I have it and started the single player campaign. It crashed and erased my save game. I tried to play a multiplayer match yesterday, but it just sent me to a map with no other players.

Unimpressed with every game ign has showed during its live stream of the Xbox One. Ok, NBA 2k14 looked awesome.

All the others looked like 360 games.

It looks great, but buggy as hell. There's a crash in the menu (you can bypass this by hitting X until you get into the multiplayer screen) and single player campaign saves get corrupted. Conquest doesn't work at all unless you use the server browser on a laptop to get into a game and that only works if there are less than 20 or so people in a game. Team/Squad Deathmatch and Domination modes are stable, Rush sometimes works but disconnects happen often and Obliteration is reliable most of the time.

There's supposed to be a patch "early next week", which I'm guessing will fix the CE error that's corrupting single player games and causing the crashes in the menu. Whether multiplayer will be fixed remains to be seen...

2k14 is awesome. Some of the modes lack some of the features found in current gen but the gameplay is almost identical. The graphics and animations are incredible. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it.

Even just watching the stream I was amazed at the lighting and shadows.

All the EA games they have played, even Madden, are just meh. Starting with the animations. Movements are so harsh and jittery.

Eco-Motion really focused on just 2k14 whereas Ignite is used in all the EA sports which seems a disadvantage.

Yeah, I was able to get free DL codes for NBA 2K14 and Madden. NBA looks and plays fantastic; Madden to me feels like a PS2 game.

I don't understand how EA can drop the ball (pun intended) on these sports games. They've known about these new consoles for awhile now.

I don't care about the sports games at all, just as long as the other EA-owned properties are good (Mass Effect, Dead Space, Dragon Age, etc.).

I agree with this statement.
