Good news - My legs felt pretty great. So the treadmill maintenance and yoga helped keep me at a respectable level.
can u just put "i do yoga" in your sig so you dont have to bring it up in every post?

Good luck with both the run and trying to keep the nuts warm

I was in Oklahoma the past 5 days. No running, but I hiked EVERY day. Several of them were 4-hour hikes and one of them was 7+ hours when I got lost and was pretty sure I was gonna die. Saw lots of wildlife including a close encounter with a water moccasin (cottonmouth) that managed to escape my grasp and take a couple swipes at me.
I like reading about strat's yoga.

Did you threaten any 12 year olds?!
Also, why did you try and grab the snake? I fucking hate snakes.

No, I didn't spit or snot on any 12 year olds this time.
I enjoy playing with snakes. After you get a hold of them for a few minutes, they tend to get pretty docile. I think they are beautiful creatures. A cottonmouth is less venomous than a western diamondback, so I was pretty excite to get my hands on one. This was the most aggressive snake I have ever encountered. After it escaped me, it took a couple of swipes at me, then I went to higher ground (this was along a river bank) and it actually chased me for a few feet.

I'm not particularly scared of snakes but know better than to try grab a water moccasin.

"Water moccasins account for about 42 percent of all snake bites in the United States each year."
Yes, perhaps not the brightest thing I have ever done.

10 miles in 71 minutes
This run had no reason to be this good. The wind was brutal and I hadn't run in 6 days. But from the get-go, I felt fan-fucking-tastic. I guess those hikes in OK were more beneficial than I thought. 37 out into a headwind. 34 back. Nice kick at the end, but I regretted not starting it sooner to see if I could bring home a 70. Killer run. Everything just felt right.

One of those nights that I made myself go to the gym and do the workout. Shorter but heavier weight routine + a mile on the treadmill. Not my best effort but I finished with a decent sweat.
