Smack Chris in the back of his head for his humblebrag post.Captain Loveboat wrote:I haven't posted on here in quite some time but I just got tickets through their fan club for the Ann Arbor show and I got 2nd row center. Very excited! I'm so happy that they started a fan club. I only started listening to The National three years ago but they have quickly become my second favorite band. Saw them for the first time in Detroit in 2017 and they were awesome. Can't Wait!

I got front row, center isle, for LA behind the pit. I'm too old for GA PIT. Need a seat.Chris_H_2 wrote:excuse me for what will sound like a humble brag post. but this was a pretty smooth pre-sale.
i got front row, dead center for the ann arbor show. awesome. this was really the only show where there was no GA.
i then went back to try to pull reserved seats for the chicago show, and it was saying there wasn't enough inventory (but GA was still available). i then spammed the shit out of the site for 15 straight minutes. the timers for people's carts must have run out because out of nowhere at about 10:15, 2 tickets for the first row of the center reserved section showed up. super awesome.
i'm with you. i contemplated getting ga for chicago when i wasn't pulling reserved, but then thought how miserable it would be. we saw them last year in milwaukee at a theater, and the pit area was ga. the area took up what would have been the first 4 rows of the floor, so it was small. but it sucked. it sucked badly. it was tight and hot as balls. no f'n thank you.given2trade wrote:I got front row, center isle, for LA behind the pit. depending on the show, i don't mind flying solo. if it's an arena show, i probably wouldn't do it. but smaller shows are actually nice.Simple Torture wrote:Negative--closest show would be Maine, and it's so hard to plan ahead nowadays. I haven't seen them since the waning days of the High Violet tour. They played Rhode Island once right after Trouble Will Find Me came out, and I've kicked myself many times for not going (it would've been a solo concert, something I've never done).
her name is gail ann dorsey. she was in david bowie’s band for a long time and sang back up vocals for him.psychobain wrote:who is singing with matt on that tune?
Gail Ann Dorsey is fucking sweet. Her Under Pressure duet with Bowie was spectacular. Her vocal range is killer.Chris_H_2 wrote:her name is gail ann dorsey. she was in david bowie’s band for a long time and sang back up vocals for him.psychobain wrote:who is singing with matt on that tune?
