I have no idea. I'm guessing they'd like to. Since Batfleck is old balls and many of Joker's tattoos (assuming those are legit and here to stay) reference things that "have already happened." They reference a history. So, yeah, probably. Eventually. But both of those films will have to be successful.

Mostly cloth. Some iterations go with an armored look.

Cloth, usually. But he does sometimes put on armor to fight Supes.

The thickness, I think, comes from the idea/concept of an aged Batman. A guy who is older and weathered and coming out of retirement.

But batman faked his own death, handed all his stuff over to robin and snuck off to italy with catwoman.
