I wouldn't mind a spinoff with just Chris Hemsworth's character.

"We're very proud of the bold movie Paul Feig made, which critics and audiences loved," a studio rep tells THR. "It has enlivened a 30-year-old brand and put it into the modern zeitgeist. As a result, we have many ideas in the works to further exploit the Ghostbusters universe."
I know that word was meant well in the context but thats kind of lol. I like the honesty.

I seriously dont even remember who the bad guy was or the ending of this film.

So bad.

In the end, the bad guy was misogyny.

"Confronted by tepid box office for the reboot, the studio will instead focus on animated spinoffs."
Good

Doesn't surprise me one bit. And I'm totally fine with it. As much as I loved the movie and laughed my ass off, I don't need a sequel. Much like the original, it can only do more harm than good.

My hope is that Hollywood can start to find fresh ideas. Let's get the gang back together in something new and not based on a property made popular a billion years ago by a bunch of dudes.

Let these ladies have their own thing. I like that idea much better.

I guess this was their ¨lets get the gang back¨ film as the director and two stars already worked together.

Im actually dying to see this just to consider how good or bad is it.

Given that the movie lost money, I think they probably overspent on special effects (unless this was a really pricey cast, which I presume it wasn't). They can get by with the ghosts looking cheesy, and the action sequences were the weakest parts of the movies. It was the characters and banter that were the best parts of the movie, and you didn't need that CGI slugfest in the back third of the movie.

Mostly agree. I would say Kate McKinnon kicking all kinds of ass in the finale was one of my favorite parts of the movie.

People hacked her website and posted stolen nude photos, and images of her passport and driver's license.

Regardless of whether or not you like the movie (and it's totally fine either way) this is disgusting behavior. I fucking hate people.

This movie looks terrible and I can't stand Leslie Jones, but fucking Christ, what is even happening anymore? This level of harassment is insane. Like, actually insane. I don't understand it at all. This is a new low for fanboys. Truly the scum of the earth. The Twitter mob was one thing...but this? I just... Man. Fuck everyone.

100% agree. I happened to like the movie; totally understand why others don't. But this is just way too far beyond....

I feel terrible. I hate the world.
