I love the Trump supporters comparison of his twitter rants to FDR's fireside chats. FDR started them, but then Reagan brought them back and every President since has kept the tradition. Every weekend the President, and a leader from the opposition party, make a direct address to the American people carried by radio stations across the country. Sure, it might be broadcast on "MSM", but they're completely unedited, and can be found online without going through a traditional media entity.
