Seems pretty irrelevant at this point though doesn't it? Unless they are implying he had a heart attack because of too rigorous of a foo schedule. And it's funny coming from Matt, who has never said no to work ever.

Is Grohl to blame for Hawkins’ demise?

I'll admit I only skim read, but I didn't read any drug angle into it.

Just health issues, anxiety, ageing and wanting to slow down, but feeling pressured into not letting down the rest of the band and their crew.

Still very surprising to me that Matt and Chad Smith were happy to be quoted in that piece, which clearly paints Dave and John Silva in an unflattering light.

I have to imagine they're both genuinely pretty distressed and angry.

John Silva is known for being a piece of shit really, so its no surprising for me.

Still, Taylor took pretty much every drug he could..

my take is the pressures of touring to support the foo team, and the anxiety caused by it, drove him to start using again/using more.

“There’s so many questions about what the fuck happened in Bogotá,” Cameron says. “I don’t even know if I believe any of the toxicology reports coming out of that country”
Hey fuck you Matt

He was unconscious on a plane recently and they said exhaustion/dehydrated. That's probably not what it was. It could have been something other than drugs though, especially since his heart was apparently the size of a basketball.

I’d imagine that the brotherhood of these type of drummers on this scale is a small, tight knit group — if not mostly those 3 (now 2) — who have each other’s backs. I interpreted Matt’s commentary as more “hey we have to put up with a LOT of rigor that I don’t think people fully realize”.

Frankly kind of surprised Cameron put himself out there going on the record with this stuff.

RS journalists are well know for being scoundrels too so who knows what the deal was.

Im guessing both Matt and Chad are pointing more to Silva than Dave.

Still, its kinda funny how Dave needed to do so much stuff with the foos.

And there you go

Matt released an statement claiming it was out of context and shaped into a different narrative.

How exactly are those quotes out of context? The reporting is fairly straightforward.

They can be shaped into a whole different narrative or be changed who knows.

RS already done this in the past.
