Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

yeah he's phenomenal. My favorite movies of his would probably be:

French Connection
The Conversation
Get Shorty

He's great in Royal Tenenbaums but there are other aspects of that movie that I don't like

Get Shorty is a good call.

French Connection would probably be my #1. I need to watch The Conversation.

I know you hate westerns, but it really goes beyond westerns. It just happens to be set in the old west.

This is one of the few films I can think of that is universally loved and praised. In all aspects of my life I find people who adore this movie. I believe it's really great. And I know it doesn't seem like it (because I haven't seen it yet) but I am actually excited to watch it at some point.

There are a few Westerns that I love. I imagine this one will be the best of all of them once I finally get around to it.
