Re: NBA Thread
Hedo really worked with that squad. He him some big shots and got Dwight the ball in spots where he didn't have to do much but dunk it. What pisses me off more is the decision to start Jameer Nelson over Rafer Alston in that series. Jameer hadn't played in a couple months and Skip just seemed to have it going in those playoffs. When they suddenly went with Jameer it seemed to kill his confidence and he was totally ineffective coming off the bench. Courtney Lee should have finished that play and Nick Anderson should have made the free throws but that play alone didn't lose them the game. Disrupting a rotation and rhythm going into the Finals is more to blame. They had just beaten Lebron and the Celtics big 4 if you count Rondo so why screw with what is winning? I still don't get it.verb_to_trust wrote:Hedo Turkeyglue's pass was perfect.

Those Magic teams were really fun to watch. I remembered Pietrus the other day and looked him up, he's still playing in France somewhere. That combo of him, Lewis, Turkoglu and Dwight was very entertaining. A super fun team to play with in 2K too.

Re: NBA Thread
That Magic run was the year Lebron hit the game winning three against them and the Bulls had an epic 7 game series with Boston that had a bunch of overtimes, fights ect. Unless I'm combining years. I still remember Ben Gordon hitting dagger threes in crunch time and grabbing his nuts as he went back down the court. The Noah steal, coast to coast dunk and 1 fouling out pierce. Man, what a time to be alive that was....

I was in a bar during one of those Celtics Bulls double OT games. I remember buying lots of strangers shots and yelling 'hes grabbing his nuts!' when Ben hit those threes.

I had a job working nights from 2008-2010. I missed most of those Orlando games. What I saw was entertaining however.

Lol, so Rondo said the Bulls have "3 alphas" but it is Jimmy's team. If he is already saying that, yeah, he's going to be a problem.

Re: NBA Thread
Anybody think this supposed talk about Love, Shumpert and two future second rounders for Cousings and McLemore is legit? I think Cousins would be a more better fit on that squad than Love and he will be less likely to pull his bullshit with Lebron. It could be huge if they are to compete with the Warriors in the finals. Now that they have added some serviceable help down low they will a bit more rounded out more quickly than thought although if they sign him Ray Allen won't be able to guard anybody. Lebron with Kyrie of course getting things doing what they do and Cousins tearing it up down love with Tristan backing him up on the boards they might have the right combination to repeat against a completely restructured GSW team that will quite possibly taste defeat the first year and then win 2 or 3 straight. I want this Boogie trade to happen bad.

Magic were just better that series. Don't forget they were more than solid on defense that year and had great chemistry. That was a great series. By the way, I'm was so thrilled to see you guys get it this year and I hope you get it again this year.Joesanity wrote:Man, F that Orlando team and Rashard Lewis having the season of his life at the wrong time.verb_to_trust wrote:That Magic run was the year Lebron hit the game winning three against them and the Bulls had an epic 7 game series with Boston that had a bunch of overtimes, fights ect. i imagine by volume it's excessive, but due to his abnormal size it's about average by density. But that's purely a guess.
