Not taking the bait.
Ha, I'm not trying to bait you. Apparently we just strongly disagree about movie categorizations.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I think you just hate the demographic that it depicts.

I think The Thin Red Line is far and away his best work. Badlands is very good too. The only Malick I don't like is To the Wonder.

Watching The Secret of NIMH again and taking notes.

The painted backgrounds in this movie are so amazing.

I've decided that reproducing that look digitally is impossible. Only watercolor can do that.

yeah you don't have much control over how the paint absorbs into the paper. That would have made me very nervous doing it in a production environment.

The owl scene and the ending are pretty intense.

My lady friend had never seen The Godfather films (she's seen barely anything, but that's another story), so over the last week we've watched the first two. She loved the first one, and didn't really enjoy the second. She thinks the first one had subtleties that the second one was missing, and the second one was a bit confusing.

I nearly ended the whole relationship right there.
