It's been a steady climb up the ranks, and may possibly be my favorite on the album now.Got Some wrote:Yellow Moon = simply awesome!!!
you like Future Days? Its the only one i cant stand. It might be the worst PJ song from their official albums.stip wrote:I was able to give this a good loud listen for the first time in about a week on my way into work this morning.
I really love this album. Such an enjoyable listen from start to finish, and one of my favorites to sing along to. Possibly my favorites. Sirens, Infallible, Pendulum, Sleeping by Myself, and Future Days in particular.
Throw in Getaway and Yellow Moon and Swallowed Whole and... yeah, the whole album is fantastic.stip wrote:I was able to give this a good loud listen for the first time in about a week on my way into work this morning.

That's a bit harsh. I actually love FD, but can see why some don't.VinylGuy wrote:you like Future Days? Its the only one i cant stand. yeah, i think the album suffers from the running order...specially the first batch of songs. It would work better with LB after MFS i guess...and im not sure about that last run of songs either.Tuolumne wrote:The album is definitely sticking for me. There's always a few songs I'm going back to everyday or ones that sort of stick in my head or just evoke a feeling I want to go back to. SBM is definitely the "put it on the shelf" song, but I don't know if it's b/c I've heard it before from uke songs or not. I generally have trouble on albums with songs I've heard before, including first singles. Otherwise, this is a strong effort by PJs standards, which make it an awesome album by most any rock band.
My main gripe with it right now is the running order. I find myself skipping around alot, back and forth. I haven't had a listen of the 12 songs in order for a long time. I'm usually grouping the songs together with their natural partners - the hard stuff together and the midtempo vibier stuff as it's own batch. Backspacer worked great on one continuous listen (but very little repeats), which might be the PJ album that worked best for me that way. LB I'm repeating certain songs over and over (Getaway, Sirens, Yellow Moon) which means I like the individual songs more than Backspacer's, but Backspacer I always found myself playing the whole darn album in one drive.
