Yeah, that's the danger of reading all the extraneous stuff. Double-edged sword.

Also, the beginning of the movie - beyond Poe Damerons attempt - Reminded me of Rogue One.

The sacrifice from the Pilot dropping the bombs on the dreadnaught. That was an awesome scene and felt very similar to what we saw in Rogue One.

And I love the way this movie expanded Hux. This movie actually retroactively improves his performance in TFA. So well done.

I originally didnt love Hux and how he was portrayed but as this story moves forward im beginning to understand the choices and the casting.

Also, when Luke tossed the saber over his shoulder - I knew we were in for a different ride.

Also, what angered me about the movie was the killing of Snoke.

Also, what I loved about the movie was the killing of Snoke.

As far as anger and aggression and ferocity...he put Palpatine to shame. The way he manipulates and humiliates was incredible to watch. Serkis was just incredible.

So, ill miss seeing snoke. But killing him off was a shock and im on board with that.

That is the conflict with this movie. And that is why its a great movie no matter what LV says.

I’m still pissed Luke didn’t die in that first walker blast. That would have been hilariously great.

Also anyone here that keeps putting forth the comments Mark Hamil made about "fundamentally disagreeing with the direction...." Need to stop using that. Because he's also gone on to say that he came around on it and totally trusted Rian Johnson and thought he made the right decision.

And he did.

According to Johnson, I have a bad feeling about this IS in the movie. Just not in English.

how was she not sucked into space/killed immediately? that pilot was more powerful in the ways of the force than leia!

Guys....Luke struggling with his place in the world as an old wise jedi is amazing.

A true teacher is always a student and he was through the end of the film. It took yoda to come back and continue to help lead Luke for Luke to fully step back into his role. Its so fantastic.

It’s Bb8. Says it to poe in the first scene they’re in and Leia says commander I have to agree with the droid.

Yoda is key to Luke’s turnaround.

Lose Ben Solo you did. Lose the girl rey. You must not.

I just assumed he came to his senses, and came to help out. But cleaned himself up first. I wondered how he got into the base if the door was the only way in/out.

didn't even need that scene with the kid and the broom at the end. redundant.

dimejinky99 wrote:You know Phasma survived right?

She must have.

I hope not. I’d rather see a new character. It’s too late in the game maybe for a new one or to develop Phasma back from the dead.

Maybe getting rid of so many primary characters is to make room in 9 for the main characters?

I wish we’d bitten more of luke and Rey in this
I think that’s one issue I have with TLJ (and some extent TFA). Too many “primary” characters. You have secondary characters acting like primary characters that throw some of this off. Or secondary characters trying to be primary characters.

I’m enjoying this film more and more. I think we’re gonna count it among the best of Star Wars.

I wasn't 100% sure what was going on but I knew something was up. I was like, "how did he even get there?" Then, "Oh, that x-wing under water." Then I was all, "but wait, how did he get it?" Then, "they'll probably explain that." Then, "why is he young? Something's up." By the time the First Order didn't obliterate him, I figured it was a Force projection.

Am I wrong or is there no traditional three act structure in this?

It’s more like a play

How did I screw that up. Whatever the cinema term for it is
