I definitely understand any anxiety you might have, trust me, but, look at it this way...no one is there to judge anyone else who's there; they all share in the desire to hear a truly great Pearl Jam album.
Go and don't be ashamed to be a fan. There's enough negativity in the world.
Amen to that brother. Have we all forgotten how to go out in public?
Don't get me wrong here...I'm not judging anyone for feeling that anxiety about being out in public. Hell, I spend my life sitting down, and 99 times out of a 100, I'm the only person in any given room in my physical situation, so, I 100% empathize with being self-conscious. I can tell you that lockdown definitely altered many of my own behaviors, as well.
The only purpose of my post was to make Ruddo feel more at ease about their decision to go.

Something to be said for being comfortable enough in your own skin so as to not care about the need to be so self-consciously cool.
I stood in the corner and provided wry and witty commentary about how the drums sounded like ass and Ed's vocals were too breathy. Unfortunately my pearls of wisdom were drowned out by obnoxious sounds of cheers and and happiness. I hate Pearl Jam fans.
This post made my day

The most competant thing 10c has done in the last 20 years is having kept this album leak free up until now.

He didn’t like leak culture.
There’s a lesson in this.
Never did find out who that band were. It was a brilliant album
If only someone had the idea of leaking Dark Matter and it's out there right now under a different name.
The honking seals with their great new album truckin to the bright light
Say that in lettermans life and it might make sense

It would be funny if you had to hold your phone up to the ceiling at the record store to hear it.

It's nice to hear mostly positive first impressions from those who attended, but I really need to listen to these songs myself now. I guess the earliest that can happen is another 3-5 hours, if one of you fine RM folks record and upload that fast.

Most people don't like Riot Act and Binaural which are my favourite albums so couldn't care about what some fuck wits think.

Pearl Jam fans are clearly the absolute worst reporters. The Aussies dropped the ball this morning and clearly our Euro faithful are now doing the same. This is like the London listening party all over again. It seems like anyone who has heard this album, either instantly forgets about it or perhaps more nefarious...has their mind erased so they can't provide any coherent descriptions. This is failure on a global scale. Hopefully the Americans have their shit together today. Your mission is clear. Forget about the booze and dancing Greek guys yelling Eddie....do your job like a pro today and get us some HARD DETAILS!!

I second this!
