Nah. They all loved Ten and slowly went back to the above mentioned bands. Also I was made fun of for liking pearl jam my entire life.

The goalie on my hockey team wore cowboy hats and leather pants and had a jackson guitar with a girl in a bikini painted on it. Crate 1/2 stack.

Watch for the scene where they filmed against a green screen, and just never bothered to put anything in to replace it because Star Trek.

Domestic Box-Office Opening Weekend guesses?
The #1 opening weekend of all-time right now is, surprisingly, Jurassic World at $208,806,270. #2 and #3 are Avengers 1 and 2 at $207mil and $191mil respectively. The rest of the top ten are an assortment of Marvel, Harry Potter, Batman, and Hunger Games movies, all breaking $150 million. In 1999, Phantom Menace had amassed over $105 million by the end of its first weekend (it opened on a Wednesday).
I predict this will take the top spot handily, hitting $230 million opening weekend. (I made this number up, I don't even know if it's possible.)

I'd say $230 is probably conservative.

It will be the widest opening of all-time supposedly, at 4,100 theatres.

i dont understand the logic of opening this on a friday. opening it in the middle of the week would get most of the hardcore nerds out of the way for the weekend.

It wouldn't surprise me if it DIDN'T break opening week records. TPM didn't.

That's a good point, Burt. I am very interested in seeing this movie at the theatre, but I have no intention of going the first weekend. This is exclusively because I imagine the place will be packed with maniacs (of the fanboy variety). How many people will feel this way?
