That was it.
What will the rebels do now?

How will Luke deal with knowing his father is Darth Vader?

Will they find Han Solo?
For Ep. 9:

What will the resistance do now?

How will Rey deal with the knowledge of her parents, and is it even true?

Will Rey become an ass kicking Jedi without a master?

Will we ever find out who Snoke was?

Will DJ return?

that's what the story will be about. But again, they aren't 'mysteries'

Sometimes, LV, I'm not sure if you understand how stories work.

At this point I don’t really care how episode 9 pans out.

I don’t care about Snoke. It’s stated he’s the one that corrupted Ben initially. That’s fine.

I don’t care about Rey’s parents. Rey remembers them leaving on a ship. Kyle says they were just drunks (which I believe he was lying about to get into her head; but not important). I think it’s just important that she wants to know how to fit into this new world she’s been thrust into.

I don’t care about Phasma. Secondary character that shouldn’t have been in TFA to begin with.

I don’t care about the Republic, or the Resistance, or the First Order and new the new Rebels. There are like 4 people left of the Resistance. The First Order can just go start taking over star systems and deal with them when they pop up with help from the Outer Rim (maybe)

I know people had issues with the rehash of TFA/ANH and I saw the similarities and overlooked them, hoping that this stuff would diverge in the next movies. It diverged alright, into more of a mess. Yes, it’s not like any SW movie before it, but that’s not necessarily a good thing.

It’s just such a mess of a movie and world-building in the sequel era.

I will say though that I think Kyle Ren is probably the best character coming out of the ST, followed by Rey.

Poe has diminished. Finn has really diminished. Rose is a non-factor. It’s sad, really.

The resistance fighter that takes a lick of Crait mineral and says “hm, salt.”

He must be a relative of Ric Olie

They usually contain stories, sure, but that’s not what they’re about. Never has been.

Dictionary definitions don’t mean much when it comes to the subjective nature of art.

Blowup isn’t a great movie because of its murder mystery story. Lord of the Rings isn’t great because of its story about destroying a ring. Godzilla isn’t great because it’s about a giant lizard. This stuff is incidental. I don’t think Return of the Jedi or Empire Strikes Back are enduring classics because of their stories. And I certainly don’t care at all about the kind of plot-related minutiae that gets endlessly fretted over in these threads for some mindboggling reason.

Plot and story dont matter to LV. Why does he like movies? I dont get it. Oh, he likes Michael Bay movies which lack both of those things.

LV, you are ridiculous but goddamnit i love you.

Oh, I fully admit one of the reasons I find the Transformers movies exhilarating is precisely because they barely engage in story. Bay almost openly mocks it in The Last Knight. They are pure cinema.

Did anyone notice the difference in salt movement when they showed shots of Kylo's feet vs Luke's feet?

I want to say yes to every question there. I need those answers.

I was thinking about the fight sequence with Snoke´s guys...that was good.
