I see it goes for 5 seasons or something, I'm wondering how they can keep it going for that long. Just watched the Metallica episode last night

You just got Ruddo’d!
It's on the first page! And he can get the gist of the show from the thread!
Hmmm. We may check this out.

I assume they're doing week by week with it, but I don't know. I'm excited to watch at least the first episode, though.

I'm feeling a little misanthropic today so I'm watching the MSNBC 2016 election coverage. It's really hilarious watching Maddow and Chris Matthews slowly melt down over the course of the night.
I'm at the point now where they're looking for people to blame. Funnily enough they haven't mentioned the media or the DNC.

One of my favorite quotes so far -
"I'm being told Lady Gaga is in tears; Cher is in tears"

We were looking to start this soon. Is it a good show?

It's totally fine. It's very on the nose. But the performances are great. I think S1 overall was a solid B. It starts a little wonky and gets better as the season goes along. The end is strong.
S2 feels weird. This first episode is all over the place. Odd structure. And even more on the nose (if that's possible). But I liked S1 enough to see where we're goin in S2.

A funny story about Morning Show S2...
So we turn it on. There's the "Previously On" recap, which was a good refresher. Then the cold open. Then the title sequence, which is easily the worst title sequence in all of television. The animation is stupid, the song is stupid. It's stupid. But for some reason Apple+ does not give us the option to skip the title sequence. So, my wife mutes it.
Once that FINALLY ends (it's so fucking long, y'all!) my wife turns the sound back on. And so the show starts with scenes of NYC set to a new Kacey Musgraves song (Good Wife from the new album). And they PLAY THE ENTIRE SONG. The whole thing. There are seemingly interesting scenes happening underneath the music. Reese is dancing what looks to be a hilariously bad number, there are three scenes WITH DIALOGUE (that we can't hear because the Musgrave song is playing). It's so fucking weird. Why write and shoot these scenes just to play a song over them?
Then Good Wife ends and there's like three seconds of silence...
AND THEN FUCKING CHERRY BLOSSOM (the song after Good Wife on Kacey's new album) STARTS PLAYING!!!
Turns out, my wife had her phone connected to our soundbar via Bluetooth and somehow when we muted the TV and turned it back on, it played the new Kacey Musgraves album over the show.
But I'll tell you what, it was a total Wizard of Oz/Dark Side of the Moon situation! That song totally fit over the show. It was uncanny. It really seemed (for the first third of the song) like it was intentional and part of the episode. Hilarious.

Most of the way through the first season of Billions. Every time Paul Giamatti comes on the screen my wife feels compelled to talk about how unatractive she finds him
