I'm starting to think Kevin Durant is just a straight up idiot:

Yeah that doesn't make any sense. Denial is probably just his thing. I'm sure he has convinced himself that those three straight losses in the conference finals was all Russ' fault too.

Depends on what metric you use (attendance, tweets, viewers, TV money, etc.). I live in baseball country so hardly anyone cares about the NBA here.

People seem to like baseball better around here too. Maybe it's just the cubs bandwagon though.

I've heard it said many times that it is the number 2 spot but no data of course. The NBA definitely has more star power than MLB. If the NBA is bigger the gap between it and MLB I'd imagine is much smaller than the gap between the NBA and the NFL.

I remember a few years ago that Lebron had more Twitter followers than the entire MLB All Star Teams combined. The NBA definitely wins on star power and millennial interest.

I'm thinking that has a lot to do with it. Lebron is the obvious example but he also is the best reference to how the arrival of one superstar can catapult the value of a franchise practically overnight. Also, outside of the Superbowl spectacle is can any other league rival the success of the playoffs and the Finals? I could be wrong but I'd love to see some hard numbers on that. Finals this year broke records right? Assuming it is the same two teams I'm sure that could easily happen again.
