Re: Avengers: Endgame SPOILER THREAD
obviously this may change over time, but overall did people prefer Endgame or Infinity War?
Loved them both but I think I lean towards Infinity War, which was funnier, had better fights, was more uncertain, and I think the snap and thor's arrival in Wakanda may be two better moments than Avengers Assemble and Cap with the hammer. But i've seen infinity war a lot, and Endgame needs time to settle (and another viewing - so much to take in). Endgame is definitely more emotionally affecting overall - there are some real gut punch moments throughout, and probably a better crop of performances overall.

I think both...its one big movie for sure and both movies takes risks...in that sense, i think Endgame takes a little bit more risks and nailed every one of them.

Thor was excellent in this, loved the joking with the Guardians at the end.

Re: Avengers: Endgame SPOILER THREAD
I was really feeling kinda, meh, through this hole movie.
I re-watched all of them leading up to it, and it really bugged me that Tony and Cap were on non speaking terms before Infinity War. Then they finally come face to face and they have Stark be a total dick wad and still hold a grudge over the Civil War.
Also, did Cap take Thors hammer back with the stones? if not, that's a pretty big whoops of a plot hole. Thor kinda needed it in Dark World and Ragnarok. Not to mention how is he planning on turning the stone back into the ether to put it back into Jane Foster?? :/ and quiet a few other things in the time travel segment that could muck up the future which makes me feel like Kahn the Conqueror will be the next villain.
Anyone have any idea why Elvis Presley / Elvis Presley Enterprises got a special thank you near the very end of the credits? I don't remember a single Elvis song, nor any images of Elvis? Seemed odd.

Saw it in 3D and it was great. I've been on a lot of liquids today because I'm sick so I ended up leaving...at some point...but I came back and didn't miss much. Pissed for a full minute and a half though. I would not have made it the whole film happily.

That was the person I was the most confused about but I literally just got it: it was the kid from IM3.Peeps wrote:Also glad to see who the tall lanky kid was at the end
The Hail Hydra scene was brilliant. Just amazing fan service from so many directions.
The Community cameos were funny.
It really was. I was like "oh man this is it" and then it was everything and more. I do wonder where Mjolnir went in the past though. Oh wait...he was returning it to Thor, I imagine. I missed that scene due to a pee break so I don't know what Thor said to his mom.stip wrote:the totally glorious fan service of cap with mjolnir was a great moment, and the avengers assemble moment was everything i imagined. take a bow Marvel, you earned it
I liked that scene. I get what you mean, but they just kept adding women to the scene and it was pretty awesome how many were there.@SkitchP wrote: Didnt Care for:
I know it becomes a thing in the comics, but the "Girl Power" scene was a little over the top.
Obvious Black Widow was going to die the second it was her and Hawkeye going to get the Soul Stone together
Fat Thor as a joke went on Entirely too long.
The deaging CGI on Rene Russo was... not good. Not as bad as Falcons facial hair though.
And yes, that beard was bonkers. You have to have someone shave you every day to get that kind of curve, for sure.
