When did their general guitar tone become so clean? I'm not sure, but there was a point where they totally took down the treble and aggressiveness. Right around the time when Matt decided he didn't like high-pitched drum sounds anymore. I was always a high bass, high treble, not much middle kind of guy. PJ started to become less interesting to me live when they lost that abrasiveness.

If I am there live it gets replaced by the energy of the show, which is what makes live music amazing. But the idea of preferring to listen to live bootlegs over studio songs is foreign to me.
:heartbeat:
:ohyeah!:

Seriously, with how prevalent the "Pearl Jam's live recordings render their studio work meaningless" line of thinking was among 90% of the Pearl Jam fans I knew for a long time, I'm still always happy to find others who prefer the studio output.

Fell asleep listening to it, tonight. So good. Let it Ride's vocals have made me go back and listen to the 03 tour. The 06 tour is great, but it doesn't feel as 'Pearl Jam.' Which I realize is a dipshit statement.

Point is, more Benoroya, please.

I can listen to this song all the way through now without cringing. I'm not sure what that means.

This song is stuck in my head. I keep on humming parts of it unconsciously until my wife gives me a weird look. That can't be a bad sign.
