Interesting to see how the stage is switched. Mike and Stone are on the wrong sides.

Yeah, the image on the video is reversed (unless the whole band became suddenly left-handed).

That's another one of BOB's studio tricks to push them to higher levels of performance.

You don't want to know which appendage he wanted Matt to use instead of his hands.

(Tip: When Matt throws his sticks into the audience at the end of a show, DON'T try to catch one).

I thought they were against allowing venues to put their images up on the big screens.

My understanding of the flipped image is that the person filming was sitting up top behind the stage and screen. You wouldn't watch the band at all but the footage was all excellent on the night.

In the past whenever they played big venues that had large video screens so people in the back can see the show the band refused to let the screens be turned on. It was a major bone of contention for the venues and great ammunition for my friends that hated the band. I can only speak for the New England area I don't know if it was a world wide policy or if they had the clout to do that at huge festivals and such.

was 2003 the last time they played at great woods (tweeter center, now I think?) - I believe they had the screens on when I saw them there? possible? I could be wrong about that though.

I think I was at that show! The third night? I thought they were off. It doesn't really matter they could have changed their attitude years ago it just popped in my head when I was watching a different video on YouTube and someone was filming the big screen.

I went to all three nights- I think maybe nights one and two were fanclub tickets and was lucky (and very fast!) when they announced night three- snagged tickets as quickly as possible. those shows along with seeing them in Pittsburgh in 1998, were my all time favorite concerts of any performers.
great shows, every single one of them.

i smuggled in a very small camera to one of those shows  , and took a couple shots of the screens - the shots didn't come out well at all though :/

they definitely used to throw fits over the idea of filmed boots before though - I was mainly just curious, my memory begins to play tricks with me...
