Walker, Gallaraga, and Staub are wasting a great season so far by Raines.

Confident.
Interesting...

I would've bet large sums of money that Cobb's and Avila's numbers would be reversed.

Hentgen outpitches Maddux, Gruber hits an inside-the-park homerun, Olerud with a pair of homers, including a grand slam, and we get out of it with a sweep of the Cubs despite 6 passed balls by Delgado in the two games.

Yeah, I was gonna ask how you felt about the Delgado thing. I mean, you won both games, but man was he awful behind the plate.

It's tough... it would be a no-brainer to keep him in if he had hit well enough to make it worthwhile, but he didn't really do a whole lot. We kind of won in spite of him, so I'm undecided at this point.

I bet he gave the team a needed emotional boost.

yes sir. and unless it bombs terribly, I think I may go this route for awhile. If Colavito stinks, i may adjust that one, but i am going with this for awhile. Im just mad neither Gehringer or Whitaker are Right Handed

Intangibles!
Looking at my stats, Delgado has a 1.005 OPS in his two starts and a handful of pinch-hitting appearances. Whitt has a .644 OPS in 8 starts.
If that's the difference I'm looking at going forward, I'll take my chances with Delgado. I'm in desperation mode right now, anyway.

Tough couple of weeks for Fisk. He gets dropped from the White Sox team for Sherm Lollar at the last second, and then gets benched for Varitek after ten games in Boston.
