I at one point dismissed a 1B platoon, then clicked on his splits for that season and was like... woah.

I realized early that I was going way too left handed in my lineup, but was able to fill out the rest of my line up with righties so it's all good.

damn I really wanted Cecil Fielder so I could platoon him with Cecil Cooper at first and have two Cecils at one position! That would have been awesome. oh well. I guess I'll take Cecil Cooper anyway. One Cecil is better than none.

I thought it was going to be an issue, but the more I think about it, the more I expect to not want to platoon any of Morgan/Boggs/Olerud/Griffey anyway. I just want the option here and there.

With the platooning conversation going, this seems like a good time for a rule/procedure proposal. It's something we did towards the end of the Franchise tournament, and it made things a lot faster and easier.
If people could keep their line-up for facing RHPs as their default lineup in whatif at all times, that would be fantastic.

I planned on it, given i am the most serial offender as it comes to lineup changes.

I think I pretty much stuck with a default lineup last time around regardless of the opposing pitcher and just tinkered here and there, but if I ever want to make changes I'll make the sure the lineup is ready so you can just go with what's there.
