somethings i have read (fan theories and the comics alike) are that the time stone strange gave him wasnt from this universe which is why the gauntlet was destroyed.

Nah, it was still intact after the Stormbreaker hit.

stormbreaker hit the chest not the gauntlet. id have to guess a few fan theories are going to be shown to be true with the most logical being the timestone was sent to the future and with it and the quantum realm will be the crux of the solution

im wondering if the quantum realm is how antman gets to the battle of new york but it looks tony may have traveled back in time from using the time stone that strange sent into the future

My theory has more to do with the Quantum Realm than the time stone. Right as Lang was going into the QR at the end of AM/W, Janet said something about being careful of time whatsis and space whozats. If time manipulation is an aspect of the QR, the Avengers may not even need the time stone.

(I just want one shot of the original Avengers in this next movie. Just standing there, battle ready.)

Maybe the reason we see Tony at the battle of NY is because he is using time travel to go to important events with the stones and stealing them to make their second guantlet. But then time travel opens up a lot of paradoxes because if they are stolen before Thanos uses them then how does he use them...? Stupid time travel.

I like to imagine someone who's never seen a Marvel movie somehow finding their way into this thread and reading this line and feeling very much like how I feel whenever I wander into the Game of Thrones thread

Remember when Strange looked at 14 million different realities to see if they would ever win? My theory is the QR is used to not only go thru time but go to other Earths, as well. And Lang would appear to go with him based on pics that have circulated

But then the comics thing of alternate Earth stones don't work anywhere but that reality comes into play. But then this is different already so why not make that different as well.

I am assuming that they will go back in time via confusing exposition, so it's probably pointless to theorize. I'll just enjoy the movie, and then YouTube will explain to me why it is stupid.

The main demographic for these movies is the masses of rubes, remember. They aren't going to do some complicated time/alternate universe story that would just confuse everybody
