lol you think this is over in 3 weeks?
It's kinda the expectation at this point.
Yea I think 3 weeks from today I will happily be able to join liebzz and stop clicking on this thread. I usually live for election time but all I’ve wanted to do this time is be able to skip to the end. It’s not that fun this time.
So you’re saying you use politics for entertainment.

You are the problem.

Exactly my thoughts. Every turn in events is yet another set of nauseating anxiety about how the press will sell it. And now I believe nothing. Government now says Iran sent emails threatening Democrats to make Trump look bad, but why? If they were, in fact, paying close attention to the race they would no there is no reason to do this.

Also, why were the specific Iran actions mentioned, but not Russia’s? Something doesn’t smell right.

I just pray for the sake of pretty much everyone, that everything stays on course.
old news this whole thing
Russia is backing Donald Trump, China is supporting Joe Biden and Iran is seeking to sow chaos in the US presidential election, a top intelligence official has warned in a sobering assessment of foreign meddling.

The statement on Friday by William Evanina, director of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, raises fears of a repeat of the 2016 election, when Russia manipulated social media to help Trump and hurt his opponent Hillary Clinton.

I think the point is not every election needs to apoplectic. This one is. It gives a sense of dread for election night rather than other years where election nights are like a slice of pride in our system working or at least giving the visual it’s working. I used to look forward to debates even rooting for one side because I wanted to see the candidates confront one another on policies. Now I am dreading tomorrow night because I have no sense of what will happen. Even with a 10 point lead with 2 weeks to go I feel like this is up in the air and not in a good way.

Frankly, the last 4 years have caused me more anxiety just in the politics of today than all the rest of my life combined. I desperately want this era of politics to be over. I get that even if Biden wins we will end up with unfair attacks and nonsense- I just hope not to be drubbed with it nonstop every day for four years.

A phrase like "...showed up today at the downtown St. Pete early voting location today..." sounds clunky AF, but otherwise thanks for steering this page out of that "I can't wait for this spectacle to be over" rut, McP.

This is newsworthy mostly because the armed individuals did not offer free Audits from the Church of Scientology.

Breaking: washing machine comes out in favor of norm-breaking expansion of whisky gifs: “a clear hatred of America,” says the weird rotting hand of Mitch McConnell.

It'll be great when Trump backs up their story.

The equivalent of 1/3 of the total votes counted in 2016 has been cast already in 2020:

He's a Coen brothers character.
