As long as he doesn't attempt to dabble in some meta realm I am all for it... then retire and get writing.

I'm a little disappointed he's making another movie about movies, but I trust it'll be well-made and entertaining. I would've preferred like, a Bond or Star Trek movie from him. Something different.

QuenTar.. supposedly his last film. I don't know why I'm surprised though. He's said in the past it'll probably be very low-key.

For me, his style and execution is what matters. I've never thought of his stories as very compelling. So when doing a very specific genre movie, he'd really flaunt what he does best, because we all know what to expect from those movies and he sets himself apart so well. Imagine him doing a Marvel movie. Or a Halloween or Scream or Sherlock Holmes or something like that. It just feels so tired and indulgent for him to be telling us all again how much he loves movies. Just show us what you do so well behind the camera and get out from in front of it. I don't want to hear the Dolphins talk about the history of football and why they love it, I just want them to play well and win some games.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Maybe it will be a comedic live-action adaptation of the fun cartoon show, The Critic.

yeah, i agree with that, but im not interested on QT´S STAR TREK!! or something like that. And while i agree with style and execution are his highs, when he had a very weak scrip like in Django, the results were awful too.
