oh ok yeah yeah

im glad he is not making a bond or star trek movie, i want something original from him.
For me, his style and execution is what matters. I've never thought of his stories as very compelling. So when doing a very specific genre movie, he'd really flaunt what he does best, because we all know what to expect from those movies and he sets himself apart so well. Imagine him doing a Marvel movie. Or a Halloween or Scream or Sherlock Holmes or something like that. It just feels so tired and indulgent for him to be telling us all again how much he loves movies. Just show us what you do so well behind the camera and get out from in front of it. I don't want to hear the Dolphins talk about the history of football and why they love it, I just want them to play well and win some games.
yeah, i agree with that, but im not interested on QT´S STAR TREK!! or something like that. And while i agree with style and execution are his highs, when he had a very weak scrip like in Django, the results were awful too.
Nah, Django's execution is really fucking good. That whole part with the Brittle Brothers is forever etched in my mind. Especially when that Freedom song starts playing... and "I like the way you die, boy". I get if the story doesn't do it for you, but it's an excellently made movie.

pretty much everything. The story. The acting. The comedy. I was bored out of my mind.

I might watch it again someday.

I don't think I've seen a new Tom Hanks movie in about 15 years.
