Both Barry Crimmins and Bobcat Goldthwait made the podcast rounds when this was coming out, and they made it sounds excellent.

Well I can't recommend The Butcher Boy highly enough. You should absolutely check that one out. Even if you don't totally flip out over it and love it as much as I do, you'll still really appreciate it and enjoy the thing, I think.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:looks like that's the only thing i've seen by himdurdencommatyler wrote:100% agree. The End of the Affair is also gorgeous. A damn near perfect film. So sexy and haunting and heartbreaking and tense. And another round of stellar performances in that one.
Interview with a Vampire, Michael Collins and Breakfast on Pluto are really solid as well.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Interview is probably my least favorite of his films that I've seen (maybe Breakfast on Pluto is below it...?) and I still enjoy the hell out of it. It's been a long time since I've seen it, though. My memory might be stronger than the film itself. But I think the piece has a great atmosphere and tone. And Tom Cruise is outstanding.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:oh yeah i have seen interview with a vampire, thought it was just okay...i probably should have seen michael collins by now, but haven'tdurdencommatyler wrote:Well I can't recommend The Butcher Boy highly enough. Interview with a vampire was totally miscast and Michael Collins was liberal with the facts. Though still watchable.

Totally agree with Dime about the casting. One of the few bad performances for both Cruise and Pitt.

I think it was the first decent performance TC gave. I thought Pitt really nailed the tone.turned2black wrote:Totally agree with Dime about the casting. One of the few bad performances for both Cruise and Pitt.
