First time making this? How'd it turn out? It's on my to-do list but I want to have someone else's first when I'm in LA in July.

Yeah first time, so we'll see. I'm working off the Chicano Eats recipe, so I stewed up the guajilo and ancho chilis yesterday and marinated a combo of sirloin tip and beef shank in the puree overnight. It's simmering for the next two hours but it smells fucking insane already.

If you've never had birria LA is probably a great place to try it.

Prob just gonna have some pita and hummus, might add a pickle spear on the side.
