I heard the blimp pilot line too, maybe a Weekend Update joke?
Or maybe it’s just the Mandela effect.

Oh shit! Yes, maybe it was a Weekend Update joke. That would make a lot of sense. I think you're right.Biff Pocoroba wrote:I heard the blimp pilot line too, maybe a Weekend Update joke?

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I’ve been thinking about watching this. Maybe I’ll hold off. I know nothing about it.E.H. What a hilarious pile of shit. The (re)writing, the directing, the effects…just terrible. No understanding of what made the source material work. It reminds me of when big budget movies turn out to be money laundering shells.
Ten million dollars an episode, and it might as well be a Sci Fi channel adaptation of a mobile game.
I did not heed McP's advice and watched the first episode until it got to the "creatures". Yikes.bada wrote:I’ve been thinking about watching this. Maybe I’ll hold off. I know nothing about it.E.H. I'm only a few episodes in, and am absolutely loving this series so far. I'm not even finding eyebrows to be annoying in thislennytheweedwhacker wrote:First episode of Dopesick. Nothing groundbreaking, but I really enjoyed it. Great cast also.
