It's a Patriots day tradition. Canadians wouldn't understand what it's like to tell the British monarchy to fuck off.
This was a fantastic post.
It really was.

A lot of the justifications I saw for the play being totally legal were centered around the fact that Kinsler never touched the ball. Perhaps the alomar example he did and "dropped" it?

That's my best guess, yeah.

There's a decent chance that it never happened, too. I have a lot of baseball memories in my head... it's hard to keep them all straight sometimes.

Former not-very-good Blue Jays Robert Perez and Robert Person.

Also, Robert Perez and Tomas Perez.

Is Arrieta's 11 starts between no hitters the 2nd shortest gao between no-nos? It has to be.

Nope. Johnny Vander Meer did it in consecutive starts in 1938.

Apparently the rest of the Jays weren't giving Chris Colabello access to their magic, undetectable Canadian steroids.

After some digging, it looks like this guy has him beat: Addie Ross through a perfect game in October 1908 and then another in April 1909 (although I'm having trouble finding game logs, so I'm not 100% sure). I'd never heard of this guy before, but his perfecto had the fewest pitches ever in a perfect game (74) and he's the all-time leader in WHIP. He died at 31 from meningitis, so that might be a reason he's sort of lost to time.
